Our Vision
Nourishing the potential of individuals with special needs for independent living

Description
Sinchana Foundation was established in July 2014 as a charitable trust with the aim of rehabilitating and improving the quality of life for individuals with special needs. These needs stem from mental disabilities or physical challenges, due to conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia, Mental Retardation, Down’s syndrome etc. These conditions result in impaired learning and poorly developed cognitive faculties in the person. With targeted therapy and training, the extent of the impairment can be limited and the individuals with special need get a chance at living as independently as is possible for them.

We work towards holistic development of each individual by identifying the areas where they are lagging and help them develop those skills. This enables these individuals to cope up with different situations in day to day life and in different environments, helping them reduce their dependency on other to the best of their abilities. Every individual with special needs is unique and receives individual attention at Sinchana.

Sinchana also believes in the importance of empowering the parents to understand and handle their child better. We strive to help the parents develop acceptance and positive attitude about their child, looking at his/her potential rather than his/her condition. We provide counseling and guidance to parents about the opportunities available to children and adults with special needs and what might be the appropriate next step for their child.
